The Legends of Monkey King is a costume web TV show that was co-produced by Shanghai Cenic Media, Youku, and Talent TV and Film Co, ltd. It used an innovative perspective to tell the story of Monkey King’s growth. As the world changes, the Monkey, played by Raymond Lam, is born from the boulder 300 years earlier than expected. He gets involved in the battle between demons and heaven and starts his struggles with Puti and Taishang.

Digital Domain’s China team worked with Digital Domain India to finish 749 minutes of VFX work that included 20, 577 VFX shots, which brought up a new VFX work standard for Chinese web TV shows.
