As executive producer of Episodics & Streaming, Eric Robertson spearheads the studio’s growth in high-end episodic visual effects and has helped refine its extraordinary pipeline to fit accelerated schedules while sustaining the highest creative standards. Eric brings to the studio a wealth of knowledge gained throughout his extensive career, as well as strong relationships with hundreds of studio executives, directors, and producers. Eric is expanding the boundaries of virtual production and is developing new tools and processes that combine video game technology, motion capture, and motion control to visualize and shoot virtual settings in real-time.
As an industry veteran with three decades of experience, Eric has supervised and produced visual effects for over 150 feature films and episodic series. His incredible creative and technical abilities have enabled him to partner with some of the most acclaimed directors including Ron Howard, Jonathan Demme, Adam McKay, Sam Mendes, Joel and Ethan Cohen, Dee Rees, Doug Liman, Ang Lee, Sam Esmail, Nick Cassavetes, Norah Ephron, Darren Aronofsky, Jim Jarmusch and Charlie Kaufman.
Eric is an accomplished 2nd unit director and VFX cinematographer, who has collaborated with Robert Elswit, Oliver Wood, Dan Mindel, Larry Sher, Stuart Dryburgh, Fred Elmes, Rachel Morrison, Christopher Doyle, Matt Leonetti, Phillipe Rousselot and John Bailey.
Beyond the work itself, Eric is a significant contributor to and supporter of the industry. He was instrumental in expanding the Visual Effects Society and helped found the New York section serving as its first secretary/treasurer and later as the co-chair. Eric has taught color science at Sheridan College, and lectures at NYU and CUNY Brooklyn College. He is a member of IATSE Local 600.
