Mr. Shawn YIP was appointed as the Senior Vice President – Corporate Strategy & General Counsel of the Group, and the General Manager of Beijing, in January 2020. Prior to the current position, he was the Vice President and General Counsel of the Group. Mr. Yip joined the Group in 2019 and is now responsible for the corporate strategy and all legal matters of the Group. Before joining the Group, Mr. Yip has worked in several leading international law firms as a commercial lawyer for more than 10 years in mainland China, Hong Kong and US, specializing in strategic investments and cross border transactions. His previous experiences include but not limited to some leading Chinese enterprises’ international public offerings and strategic investments, as well as multinational enterprises’ global reorganization and general corporate matters. Mr. Yip holds a Master’s Degree in Law (focusing on commercial law and entertainment law) from Harvard University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from Peking University.
