In the signature ‘world’s end’ sequence of this blockbuster sequel, Digital Domain created an all-CG waterfall many times the size and breadth of anything ever seen on screen. Using our award-winning software FSIM for a ship exploding with cannon fire, artists composited layers of debris that interact seamlessly with characters filmed on a blue-screen stage. Much of the work combined CG imagery with models and miniatures.
