Digital Domain handled all of the time travel and time-lapse sequences of this sci-fi film, some of which utilize filmed elements and others that are completely CG. As Alexander Hartdegen (Guy Pearce) travels through time in his invention, the world around him changes rapidly from season to season and century to century, while CG structures and landmarks rise and fall as time passes around him.
